I spent my birthday showing at Silverwood this past weekend! Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes. It made the day very special.
Also, a big thank you to Illinois Dressage & Combined Training Association for putting on a very fun weekend!
I had the pleasure of riding my two Andalusians in the freestyle classes this weekend.
Gallito received a 73.7% on Sunday, receiving the highest score of all the freestyles for the day. Thank you Penelope Sachs and Toby Sachs for sponsoring the award for Gallito's class!
Fenix received at 70%, winning the class and receiving a lovely High Point cooler. Thank you Margret Schrant for sponsoring such an awesome prize!
Melanie Michalak did such a great job putting these freestyles together. Congratulations to both owners Kim Ferrari and Georgia Ranthum!
The star of the show was Sophie Stone riding my school horse, Goose. She won all of her classes, including the lead line costume class, dressing up as a camera for John Borys Photography. Sophie also won high score for the Quarter Horse Breed Award.
Congratulations to both Sophie and her trainer, Nora Arnold, for doing such a great job! My horse, Allie, tagged along for the weekend.
A year ago this coming week she fractured her coffin bone. By the grace of God, she has made a full recovery. Dr. McCaslin and everyone at Paddock Hills helped to get this little mare through it. I am extremely grateful for everyone's support.
Lastly, thank you Sarah Cederlund for putting up with me and being such a great help!
